Very true, Kevin. I noticed that "impress your crush" thing when I was also in high school, only, it was my friends who were in the situation, not me. I learned the guitar when I was just a kid. Seven or eight, I don't really remember now. But I realize I also, secretly, wanted to learn the guitar to "impress my crush"...

Myself Yuvraj. I am a software Engineer (Presently Assistant Manager IT). First of all, thank you very much for your wonderful explanation. and one more thing!, don't ever call yourself IDIOT! ok!. Actually, i like the songs where guitar is the first primary source of music. My father is a Master Guitarist. But you know, i have been in job since past 7 years, and during this duration i never got such time to go to my father and discuss bout these all. So, now my craze is much more bigger regarding the guitars. Whenever i listen any music, such as from Coldplay, and the recent Movie Rock On, i become really mad for the guitars used in the music of the movie Rockon. So, my brother, can you help me and suggest me about the type of guitar used in the movie Rock on. Is it acoustic base guitar or something else. Please help me out regarding the above and if possible mention the price of the said. I always used to see how my dad used to play, but never tried to play enough. I am a beginner. and I want to start my guitaring from the very advanced guitar from the movie rockon. I appreciate your forward help brother. Will be waiting for a precious reply from your side.

I stumbled upon this blog. I can sympathize with the wanting to impress your "crush" reason to start playing. I started playing bass in high school to do just that. Now I'm studying jazz in college, and have no time for women, because of practice, school, gigs ect...
